Habitats: Downland, dry pasture, verges, embankments and wasteland.
Habits:
Foodplant: At first the larva forms a gallery mine following the leaf margin of a Yarrow leaf. Later it feeds externally on the leafs upper surfaces. Bitten leaf edges turn brown. If disturbed the larva will drop to the ground. It pupates in a white corrugated cocoon on the foodplant or adjacent vegetation.
