Forewing: 3.5 to 4mm
Habitats: Downland, dry pasture, verges, embankments and wasteland.
Habits: The moth flies in the evening and occasionally it later comes to light.
Foodplant: The larvae at first live in one or two long gallery mines in the leaves of Ox-eye Daisy. These are quickly abandoned to feed on the underside of the leaf where they form "windows". The larvae hang by a thread if the leaves are even slightly disturbed. It pupates in a white corrugated cocoon on the foodplant or adjacent vegetation.
