Forewing: 4 to 4.5mm
Habitats: Mountain slopes, glens, dry pasture, verges and embankments.
Habits: It overwinters as an adult.
Foodplant: The larva at first mines a leaflet of Yarrow or Tansy, leaving a central line of black frass. It later feeds externally on the surface, leaving the lower layer which noticeably withers. It pupates in a white corrugated cocoon on the foodplant or adjacent vegetation.
