Habits: The moth comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva forms a mine on the underside of an oak leaf. There are often several together between two veins. The lower surface has a strong fold. If on the margin the edge may fold over. In the summer it pupates in a cocoon completely covered in frass. In the winter the frass forms a 'U' shape.
