Habitats: Deciduous woodland and mature hedgerows.
Habits:
Foodplant: The larva forms a mine between two veins on the underside of a leaf of Quince, Cultivated Apple, Crab Apple, Wild Service-tree or occasionally Blackthorn, Whitebeam or Wild Pear. The leaf is contorted by the mine. It pupates in a white silk-lined chamber with frass stacked behind.
