Habitats: Deciduous woodland, marshes, fens, river-banks, parks and gardens.
Habits:
Foodplant: The larva forms a fairly large mine compared with similar species. It is usually near the margin on the underside of a leaf of Goat Willow, Grey Willow, Eared Willow or sometimes Creeping Willow. It causes little contortion of the leaf.
