Habitats: Chalk grassland.

Habits:

Foodplant: Low in the grass the larva mines the underside of a radical leaf of a young Small Scabious. There may be several larvae in a rosette of radical leaves. The mine is large and inflated and from the upperside appears blotched and tinged with purple.
