Habits:
Foodplant: A small, oval mine over the midrib or other vein of an Alder or Italian Alder leaf. It is often found in the small leaves at the end of the twigs. The mines surface has a tissue like appearance and a strong central crease, but does not usually distort the leaf. There are often four or five larvae in a leaf.
