Habits: It overwinters as an adult.
Foodplant: The larva forms an oval mine between two veins on the underside of a leaf of Grey Poplar or possibly White Poplar or Black Poplar. The mine has multiple minute creases, but appears smooth. The mine may be indistinct when viewed from below against the fluffy underside of the leaf.
