Habits: The moth overwinters as an adult.
Foodplant: The larva forms an oval mine on the underside of an Aspen leaf. It is often between two veins, but its position varies. It has a few creases on the underside, but not as prominent as the single crease on the mine of Phyllonorycter apparella.
