Habitats: Marshes and fens. It is known from an area north of Oslo in Norway, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. It is likely to have a wider distribution.
Habits: It was first trapped at light in the UK at Surlingham, Norfolk on 14th August 2025.
Foodplant: The egg is deposited on the underside of a leaf of Almond Willow Salix triandra . The larva mines to the main leaf vein, then the petiole into the main stem, where it mines downward then back up to another leaf petiole, then down the middle of the underside of the leaf. The final gallery usually ends at a leaf margin where the larva pupates under a silk membrane in a folded edge. In the Czech republic it has also been found on Crack Willow and Weeping Willow.
