Habits:
Foodplant: The larva forms a long gallery mine on either the upper or lower surface of young terminal shoot leaves of White Willow, Weeping Wilow, Crack Willow, Purple Willow, Almond-leaved Willow or Bay Willow. The mine passes from one leaf to another via the petiole and as a bark mine. The final gallery usually ends at a leaf margin where the larva pupates under a silk membrane.
