Habits: The moth occasionally comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds gregariously, but in small numbers. It lives in a web on Orpine and related cultivars. It pupates in a cocoon spun under the flower-head or in the leaf litter. The larvae may be more abundant in the second brood.
