Habits:
Foodplant: The larva overwinters in a dense white cocoon. In the spring small numbers feed on leaves of Rowan or occasionally Hawthorn and possibly Cotoneaster spp. It inhabits a flimsy web on a small sapling or on a low branch which is usually under a metre from the ground. It pupates in a white cocoon in the leaf litter or on a leaf or twig near the base of the foodplant.
