Forewing: 5 to 6mm

Habitats: Deciduous woodland, wooded glens, gardens, amenity planting or wherever the foodplant is found.

Habits: The moth comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva mines a shoot of Hawthorn, Rowan or Common Whitebeam causing a slight swelling and sometimes wilting of the shoot.
