Habitats: Deciduous woodland, orchards and gardens or wherever the foodplants are found.

Habits: The moth comes to light. It is sometimes a pest in cherry orchards.

Foodplant: The larva mines a flowering shoot of Wild Cherry, Sour Cherry or a cultivated cherry. It later burrows into the developing fruit.
