Habitats: Breckland, wasteland, coastal slopes and vegetated shingle.
Habits: The moth is easily disturbed in the day.
Foodplant: The young larva feeds in the flowers of Viper's Bugloss, but quickly moves on and burrows into the pith of the stem where it feeds. It later pupates in a cocoon in the stem.
