Habits: It may rest on tree trunks during the day.
Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain. On the European mainland it lives in a frass covered silk tube feeding on lichens, on rocks and the trunks of Larch and Scot's Pine. It pupates in the feeding place.
