Habits: The moth comes to light. It is thought to have been introduced with the tree fern Dicksonia antartica in Cornwall in 2004. It has spread at least as far as Hampshire.
Foodplant: The early stages in Britain are not yet known. In its native Tasmania the larva feeds on dead wood under the rotting bark of gorse.
