Habitats: The lower rocky slopes of mountains and glens.
Habits: The moth comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on the flower-heads of Mountain Everlasting from where it bores into the stems. In the later instars it feeds on the lower leaves of the plants, from open ended, silk tubes extending into the soil. It pupates in a flimsy cocoon in the soil.
