Forewing: 8.5 to 10.5mm

Habitats: Woodland margins, hedgerow verges, dry grassland, disused quarries and other wasteland.

Habits: The moth flies at dusk and comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds from a silk spinning amongst the terminal leaves of Cow Parsley, Rough Chervil, Hogweed and Hemlock. The leaflet tips are folded upward. It pupates in a cocoon in the earth or in the leaf litter.
