Habitats: Limestone downland, calcareous grassland, limestone pavement and possibly woodland rides.
Habits: The moth flies at dawn and dusk. It occasionally flies in the night and even less often in the day. Recently refound in England after being considered extinct and still survives on the Burren in Ireland.
Foodplant: The larva feeds in a slight spinning of the shoots and flower buds of Common Milkwort and Chalk Milkwort. Pupation takes place part covered by a silk pad attached to the foodplant.
