Habitats: Coastal grassland and sand-dunes.
Habits: The moth can be swept from the foodplant and comes to light. A declining species, now found at only four sites in Britain and Ireland.
Foodplant: The larva spins the terminal leaves around the end of a Creeping Willow twig to form a tube and feeds from within. It feeds on Eared Willow in Ireland. It may also feed on Dwarf Willow and on the European mainland it is recorded on Goat Willow.
