Habitats: Downland.

Habits: The moth was last recorded near Brighton, Sussex in 1906. It was said to fly between 7.00 and 8.30pm on hot calm evenings.

Foodplant: The larva feeds in the seed-capsules of Common Rock-rose. On the European mainland it also feeds on another rock-rose Fumana procumbens.
