Habitats: Salt-marsh and coastal shingle.
Habits: The moth rests on grass stems. It flies at dawn, occasionally after rain in the late afternoon and from dusk. It comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on the developing seeds in a flower-head of Sea Couch. Its presence can sometimes be detected by whitish frass adhering to the flower spike.
