Habits: The moth is easily disturbed in the day, flies in the evening and later comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on Raspberry and Bramble. It feeds in a flowering shoot or a bud, often bleaching it, with the presence of frass before it goes brown, withers and falls off. On the European mainland it has also been recorded from Dewberry. It pupates in a flimsy silk cocoon.
