Forewing: 6.5 to 7.5mm

Habitats: Fens and marshes and occasionally dry grassland, limestone hills and gardens.

Habits: The moth comes to light.

Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain, but on the European mainland it is said to feed in the rootstock of Meadow-sweet and possibly Bridewort.
