Foodplant: The larva mines a long narrow gallery along the midrib of a leaf of Greater Stitchwort. It later spins the terminal shoots, leaf buds or a flower-head and feeds on the leaves or later in the seed-capsules on the developing seeds, which eventually turn grey. It pupates in a pale cocoon in the leaf litter.
