Foodplant: The larva feeds from between a folded leaf of Pedunculate Oak, Sessile Oak or Dogwood. It pupates in a folded leaf and occasionally in an oak gall. On the European mainland it is reported to be polyphagous on Pedunculate Oak, Holm Oak, Kermes Oak, Pistachio, Cyprus Turpentine Tree, Mock Privet, European Silver Fir, Cornelian Cherry, Sumach, Smoke Bush and other trees and shrubs.
