Habitats: Heathland and moorland where burning takes place.
Habits: The moth rests on previously burnt heather, from where it can be swept. It comes to light.
Foodplant: The young larva mines the leaves of Bell Heather. It later feeds on the leaves from a silk tube covered with frass and plant debris.
