Forewing: 4.5 to 5mm
Habitats: Breckland, dry pasture and arable margins.
Habits: The moth was thought to be extinct as there had not been any records since 1956 (in Dorset). It is attracted by pheromone lures and was refound in Wiltshire and Essex in 2023. The moth is diurnal. It is found where knot-grass is growing in direct sun.
Foodplant: In a flower or stem gall on knot-grass.
