Habits: The moth is diurnal. The adult sits on the flowers of the foodplant in the morning sun.
Foodplant: The larva feeds inside the seed pods of Greater Stitchwort and then later from a trivalved portable case. The larva bores low down into a tree trunk, at the same time leaving its case at the entrance. It pupates in the trunk.
