Habits: The moth inhabits wetland areas where the foodplant is present.
Foodplant: The larva feeds from a dark purple-brown case boring into the seeds of Water Dock. It overwinters with the case spun almost flat to a plant stem. The final narrow, tubular, trivalved case is 7 to 8mm long. It pupates on a dead stem of the foodplant.
