Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain. On the European mainland the larva feeds on Common Broom and Thorny Broom. The final dark brown case is long, thin, laterally compressed and made from four spiralling sections of leaf. It is 12 to 13mm long m.o. at a 30° angle. It pupates attached to the stem of the foodplant.
