Habitats: Coastal grassland slopes with fine grasses.
Habits: The moth flies in the evening.
Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain. On the European mainland the larva forms a narrow gallery mine that descends from the tip of a leaf of Sheep's-fescue and occasionally Smooth Meadow-grass and Crested Hair-grass. The larva is pale grey-green with stripes along the sides, a brown head and dark brown prothoracic plate.
