Forewing: 9 to 13mm

Habitats: Woodlands, scrub, hedgerows, arable field margins, marshes and gardens.

Habits: The moth is easily disturbed in the day. It flies from dusk and comes to light. It also visits sallow blossom, Ivy and over-ripe blackberries.

Foodplant: The larva feeds on the young leaves, flowers and ripening seeds of Hedge Bindweed, Field Bindweed and occasionally on other herbaceous plants. It pupates away from the feeding site, on an adjacent dead leaf, other debris or a wooden fence.
