Similar species: The second photograph is the same moth, but with the lighting at a 90 degree angle to the first photograph.
Forewing: 5.5 to 7mm
Habitats: Open woodland, scrub, hedgerows, orchards and gardens.
Habits: The moth is easily disturbed in the day. It comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds within a pair of leaves spun at their edges. The foodplants are Hawthorn, Blackthorn, roses, apples, pears, plum, quince and brambles. The larva pupates within its feeding place or in a folded leaf.
