Habitats: Deciduous woodland and hedgerows.

Habits: The moth rest at the base of tree trunks during the day. It flies from dusk and later comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds from a rolled or folded leaf of oak, Hornbeam or maples. The larva pupates in a cocoon in the spinning or sometimes in the leaf litter.
