Habitats: Woodland rides and scrub.

Habits: The moth comes to light, ivy and sallow blossom.

Foodplant: The larva feeds from between the flat spun leaves or a downward rolled leaf (forming a pod shape) of Blackthorn, and also Hawthorn, Dogwood, Bird Cherry, Rowan, sallows, Hornbeam and Alder. It pupates in the leaf litter.
