Habitats: Woodland and hedgerows.

Habits: The moth may be disturbed in the day in warm weather. It flies from dusk and later comes to light.

Foodplant: The small larva at first feeds from a folded or curled edge of a leaf of Wych Elm, English Elm or possibly other elms, then later between two leaves spun together. It pupates between two leaves or in a folded leaf.
