Similar species:

Forewing: 6.5 to 7mm

Habitats: Coastal grassland and sandy areas where the foodplant is present. Its range extends from Kyrgystan in the east, to Italy in the south, west to France and north to Sweden.

Habits: The moth was first discovered in the UK near Tilbury, Essex when four emerged in June 2022 from Wormwood stems collected in May 2022. The moth rests on its foodplant in the day, flies from dusk and later comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva bores the stems of Wormwood where it pupates.
