Similar species:

Forewing: 4.5 to 6.5mm

Habitats: Marshes, fens, ditches and other damp places where the foodplant is present.

Habits: Nocturnal and comes to light.

Foodplant: Only recently identified in Britain so the early stages have not been recorded. On the European mainland it feeds in the lower stem of Yellow Loosestrife or Tufted Loosestrife. It overwinters full-fed in the upper stem where it pupates in the spring.
