Habits: It flies close to the ground in strong sunshine from late morning until early evening and again at dusk.
Foodplant: The young larva feed in the spun needles of the prostrate subspecies of Common Juniper. It overwinters in a frass covered, silk tube spun against a stem. In the spring it feeds on the surface of the leaves. It pupates in a flimsy cocoon in the larval spinning.
