Similar species:

Forewing: 6.5 to 9.5mm

Habitats: Deciduous woodland, parkland and scrub.

Habits: The moth rests on tree trunks during the day, from where it is easily disturbed. It flies before sunset and later comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds in a longitudinally rolled oak leaf. It pupates either in its feeding place or amongst the leaf litter on the ground.
