Habits: The moth flies throughout the evening. It also comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds in a longitudinally rolled leaf of Crab Apple or other apple or sometimes two leaves rolled together. It pupates in the larval feeding place or in a folded leaf.
On the European mainland it has also been recorded from Hawthorn and Blackthorn.
