Similar species:
Forewing: 7.5 to 9mm
Habitats: Damp areas where the foodplants are present.
Habits: The two records were from Perthshire in 1919 and Selkirkshire in 1979. The moth comes to light.
Foodplant: The early stages are unknown in Britain, but on the European mainland the larva feeds on the catkins and spun leaves of White Willow, Almond Willow and Purple Osier. It pupates in a catkin or in the leaf litter.
