Forewing: 7 to 8.5mm
Habitats: Mountain moorland.
Habits: The moth is easily disturbed in sunny weather, but quickly lands again. It flies from dawn until just after sunrise.
Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain, but it is usually found amongst Bearberry or Bilberry and these are the foodplants in mainland Europe.
