Habits: The moth flies rapidly over its foodplant in afternoon sunshine.
Foodplant: The larva lives among the spun terminal leaves or between two spun leaves of Bearberry after overwintering in an early instar. It pupates in early May in the larval spinning or between two freshly spun leaves.
On the European mainland it has also been recorded feeding on Crowberry and Bog Bilberry.
