Habitats: Moorland and short, grazed areas of sedge.
Habits: The moth flies amongst low sedges on warm afternoons. It occasionally comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds just under soil level in the central shoot of Carnation Sedge and probably other sedges, often killing the juvenile leaves. It overwinters at the feeding site and pupates there in late May.
