Forewing: 5.5 to 7.5mm
Habitats: Woodland, hedgerows, moorland, orchards and gardens.
Habits: The moth is easily disturbed in the day. It flies from just before dusk and later comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva tightly spins a mass of leaves on the young shoots of Holly, Blackthorn, Bilberry, Purging Buckthorn, apples, pears, whitebeams or Hawthorn. It pupates in the spinning or amongst the leaf litter.
